ID Mail Systems Unveils New Packet Parcel System at POST EXPO 2010 and NPF San Diego

Packet Parcel Sorting System

A new innovative automated Packet Parcel Sorting system is now available from ID Mail Systems. This new system handles a wide variety of mail and parcels from small packets up to medium size parcel at speeds up to 5000 pieces per hour. The system has the ability to read a barcode and then sort the item into the appropriate sorting bin. The sort output can accommodate postal trays, tubs, bags or wheeled carts and uses a very reliable pneumatic diverter roller system for dual sided outputs. Using a narrow belt sorter with pop up bidirectional transfer rollers, the sorting system handles packages and parcels from 4" x 4" up to 24" x 14" with heights up to 12". Maximum weight per piece is 20 lbs. If heavier weight processing is necessary, a larger version is available that can handle items up to 75 lbs., but processing speed is limited to 3,600 pieces per hour.

The new Packet Parcel system can be added to enhance processing of mail and parcels from Max-M or the MMW stations by eliminating hand sorting. A robust and industrial design provides outstanding uptime and minimal maintenance. Configurations can be as small as 6 sorting locations to as many as 120 in a single conveyor line. Multiple lines and turns can be accommodated with flexible conveyor configurations.
